Singing since the age of 4 and with a varied career and wealth of experience spanning over 20 years, as a Mezzo Soprano I am passionate about teaching and enthusiastic about nurturing the talent of confidence of others.
Singing Teacher
Following a relocation to Cambridgeshire, Karen is in demand as a singing teacher and Vocal Coach, out of her home studio. With over 25 years of experience in the music industry as a performer and as a recording artist, Karen is passionate about working with all students of any age and ability, focusing on holistic methods of teaching to build strong vocal and breathing techniques.
Karen is a passionate advocate for music in schools and especially interested in working with young talent, grounding them in good technique and preparing them for today’s musical landscape, in a compassionate and empathic approach.
Current pupils range from ages 7 to 68 and range from children working towards musical theatre exams, teenagers preparing for GCSE/A Level performances, or music college auditions, young professionals working towards west end roles and older pupils fulfilling lifelong dreams of becoming better singers and performers either on stage, in a choir, for open mic or just for fun.4
Whatever you are working towards, Karen is a firm believer that with learning sound technique and with enough support to be a confident performer, nothing is unachievable.
